Many of our soccer families are not aware of all the behind the scenes work completed by our Board of about 12 members. As I am stepping down this year, I wanted to take a minute to recognize the Board members (past and present) and highlight just a few of the many, many projects that we complete each year. Registration of 800 to 1000 players per year. Train and recruit coaches for comp and rec leagues totaling about 75 head coaches plus their assts. Form teams. Secure Fields, orgainize field work days, and Maintain working relationships with entities whose fields we utilize. Attend monthly Board and District Meetings. Oversee Recreation, Compeitive, Select, Winter League, Frazier Leagues. Includes scheduling, and coordinating fields, referees, and Distict 8 demands. Recruit and train referees. Order equipment. Prepare fields . Fundraising. Organize Picture Day, Soccerfest (vendors, activities, equipment, etc). The list in truly neverending. This didn't include the over 1000 phone calls, website maintenance, discipline, taxes, securing affiliation and insurance, etc. Take a minute to thank these volunteers. There isn't enough space for me to keep listing all they do!
